Armageddon tired of this...

Oakland, CA -- Let's just chalk this one up to Armageddon being peeved for being ousted out of last season's playoffs by this very team. What else would it talk to get the Puck'n A off to their worst start as a team? Ron Steele has a GAA of 5.0 and the offense can only muster 3 goals a game?!? Not a recipe for victory, that is for sure.

Armageddon opened the scoring at 14:53 of the first and two minutes later Scott Gehring tied it up with his third tally of the season. He added a trip to the box for hooking to increase his lead in that category as well. Did someone ask him to play Gordie Howe hockey again? :-)

Taking a 3-2 lead into the second, Armageddon once again opened up a period scoring first. This gave their squad a 4-2 lead at the midway point of the game. Bob Cushman narrowed the lead to close out the period by scoring his second of the season with a little help from Troy Gehring and newcomer Bryan Robinson.

After having a penalty called at the end of the second period, Bryan Robinson wasted no time, scoring his first with the team at 15:33 to draw the score even with a powerplay goal. Armageddon, however, came back just 61 seconds later to to score the eventual game winner.

They scored an empty net goal with one second remaining to capture the win and gain their revenge. Next week, the Puck'n A face the Mapleleafs at 7pm PST.
