Numerous lead changes favored the Puckchuckers in their 6-5 win over the Puck'n A late Thursday evening. The Puck'n A end the regular season with a 2-7-0 record and will be forced to play one of the top seeded teams in the first round of the playoffs.
Tim Tessin opened the scoring for the Puck'n A with his first ever goal early in the second period tying the game 1-1. One minute later the puckchuckers regained the lead.
A flurry of 3 goals in four and a half minutes fueled by Scott Gehring's 2 goals in 45 seconds gave the Puck'n A their first lead of the game. However, before half of the third period could be played, the puckchuckers ate into the lead and again took the lead at the 10:44 mark.
At 4:30, Andrew Cushman took a bad angle shot which managed to squeeze in between the goalie and right pipe to tie the game at 5-5. What seemed to be the signature of the puckchucker's play, barely two minutes elapsed before #1 scored his third goal of the game, closed the scoring, and gave the puckchuckers the upset.
