Recap

Bob Cushman notched his first hat trick this season to lead the Puck'n A to a 6-3 victory over the Outlaws. Scott Gehring netted 4 points with a pair of goals and assists while his dad Chuck scored his first goal of the season and made off with a two-pack of assists as well.

The scoring started nearly 5 minutes into the game with Scott Gehring taking a pass from Al Lessa to give the Puck'n A the early lead. Nearly ten minutes passed before Chuck Gehring scored his first of the season and second point of the evening extending the lead to 2-0.

The Outlaws hadn't given up. #16 (Hayman) drove in with just 45 seconds left on the clock to narrow the lead to 2-1 after one period.

Bob Cushman started his rampage less than two minutes into the second by taking a Scott Gehring pass and one-timing it into a practically open net. The goalie was clearly looking for Scott to shoot and no one picked up Cushman coming into the slot. At 12:24 Mark Vis was called for a roughing penalty and it didn't take the Outlaws long to capitalize. Less than one minute into the powerplay, #16 jammed in his second of the night making the score 3-2 with about half the game left to play. The Outlaws later scored to tie the game 3-3 to close out the second.

At the 10 minute mark of the third, Bob Cushman scored his second of the evening by taking a Chuck Gehring pass. Scott Gehring then scored his second of the evening at 4:15 giving the Puck'n A a more comfortable two goal lead.

Not to be out done, Bob Cushman completed his hat trick at 3:25 of the third to close out the scoring. Scott Gehring picked up the assist as the Puck'n A ended their four game slide and improved their record to 2-4-0.

Caveman allowed only 3 goals on 20 registered shots to pick up the victory and make his GAA with the Puck'n A 4.166.

The Puck'n A are averaging 4.66 goals per game and will need every score they can get as they meet up with the Destroyers next week at 6pm. The Destroyers will be looking for a little revenge as the Puck'n A (formerly known as the Voodoo) upset them 9-2 on November 17th last season knocking them out of first place.
