Game Recap

Mark Vis led the team by scoring 2 goals and 2 assists for 4 points in route to a 6-3 victory over the Canucks. Al Lessa also scored two goals in the team's opening game of the season.

Lessa opened the scoring for the Puck'n A with a blistering slapshot which tied the game 1-1 early in the first period. Andrew Cushman, the youngest player on the Puck'n A, notched his first goal of the season by putting in the nice feed from Vis. Vis then tallied the next two goals unassisted.

Not to be outdone, Lessa put in his second goal of the evening bringing the Puck'n A's lead to 5-3 midway through the 3rd period. Scott Gehring then closed the scoring with a breakaway goal in the closing minutes.

Next week, the Puck'n A face the division favorite JACKALS which earlier this evening destroyed the Penguins. In another game of interest, the DESTROYERS blanked the OUTLAWS 7-0.
