Recap

Armageddon Lite

Oakland, CA -- It was three periods of evenly matched hockey. Either club had the chance to be the winner, but it was Armageddon that managed to hang on for the victory.

Armageddon took an early lead in the first slipping one through Caveman. The puck deflected off of the pads of the Puck'n A netminder and scored. This proved to be the only score of the period.

There was twice the scoring in the second period. Midway through, Bob Cushman drove home a Scott Gehring pass knotting the score at one goal a piece. Unfortunately just one minute later Armageddon nets the eventual game winner at 7:19.

It was a hard fought game, but the Puck'n A couldn't seem to catch a break. The puck bounced the other way, would hit a post, and even the regular sharpshooters of the team couldn't manage to hit an empty net tonight. Every team has games like this, and the important thing is it is behind us now.

This loss, however, makes next week's victory that much more important. The Puck'n A are at 2-3-0 now with only 4 games left in the regular season. They must win three of the next four to have an above .500 record again.
