Defensive breakdowns was the order of the night as the Blew By U rolled by the Puck'n A by a score of 5-2 continuing the team's 3 game slide. The final Blew By U goal bounced off of Tom Bondur and into a virtually open net and all but closed the evening's festivities.
The first Puck'n A goal of the evening had Al Lessa scoring his second on the season. He jammed a loose puck into the net tying the score 1-1.
The second period belonged to the Blew By U. The scored 2 more goals giving them a 2 goal lead heading into the 3rd. It wasn't long into the third when they took a 3 goal lead (4-1) until Scott Gehring notched his 7th of the season closing the gap to 2 goals.
with just under four minutes remaining, #40 of the Blew By U tossed a puck towards the net where it hit Tom Bondur and bounced in for the score. "The bounces were clearly going their way" said Mitch Wright, "It's hard to win when you can't catch a break every now and again."
The Puck'n A's next opponent is "Jimmy and the Fly Boys".
