Bruin'ed our holiday

Oakland, CA -- Despite three goals from Scott Gehring, the Puck'n A dropped their season finale 4-3 leaving them with a 5-4-0 record for the season. Fortunately this is enough to make the playoffs.

The Bruins drew first blood with only 1:40 left in the first period. It wasn't until the second period that the Puck'n A scored. Scott Gehring took a pass from Bob Cushman to even the score. The Bruins, however, scored just 1 minute later to regain the lead.

Most of the action occured in the 3rd period as both teams netted a pair of goals. The Puck'n A's final score came with their netminder out of the net for the extra attacker. Time ran out before they could put another one past Bruins stopper Marty Seguin.

The Puck'n A will face Armageddon in the first round of the playoffs. Armageddon leads the series 2-0-0 with a combined score of 9-6 over those meetings. The two teams have never met in the playoffs.
