Flyer, Flyer, your nets on fire...

Oakland, CA -- Two hat tricks and points by everyone on the team propelled the Puck'n A to a 10-2 win over the struggling Flyers. The only player not to score a goal for the Puck'n A was team captain Mitch Wright. His only score was disallowed because of a player in the crease. Instead, he took a hat trick of assist while Jeff Robison and Scott Gehring did it with goals.

The first period was a classic whooping. Just one minute in, Mitch Wright hits Jeff Robison with a pass and Jeff cleanly puts the puck top shelf. Just a minute after that, Jeff passes the favor on to Scott Gehring for his first of the evening. Three more goals were scored, the last being at 2:21 by Juan Castillo. Juan took the pass, drew the goalie out, and put it in with a backhand.

The second period opened much like the first as Jeff Robison scored his second on the night with assists going to Scott Gehring and Mitch Wright. The Flyers managed a score as well as #7 put one past and bored and underworked Ron "Caveman" Steele. The Puck'n A netminder faced only 9 shots the entire game, most of which were from well outside.

Just like the previous two periods, the third opened up with a quick score by none else than Jeff Robison, with the assist coming from the other Gehring -- #01 (Troy Gehring) who finished the evening with a goal and two assists. Jeff and Scott each netted another goal in the period which was closed out by a goal from Chuck Gehring at 3:50.

The win brings the Puck'n A back up to the .500 mark going into next weeks game against Penguins I.
