Blew By U got on the board first when #99 skirted around a defender and slipped on past Ron "Caveman" Steele. This score became the first and only goal of the period. The lead was extended early in the second as #1 took a pass from #6 and buried the shot. Mitch Wright, however, narrowed the deficit by slipping a backhand shot off a rebound making the score 1-2.
The second period belonged to the Puck'n A. Eddie Bell notched his first for the team at 4:45, and Chuck Gehring waited, waited, and waited and finally picked his shot at 2:10 giving the Puck'n A their first lead of the game. Juan Castillo got the assist on the goal.
Blew By U wasn't going to let it stand for long. Just 33-seconds into the final period #22 and #23 teamed up for the tying goal. Troy Gehring broke the tie at 9:35 scoring his 2nd of the season to give his team the lead again. But no! #23 and #22 were going to have none of that and re-tied the game at 4-goals apiece at 5:41.
The action remained close with both sides getting their chances. Troy Gehring put one off the post, and Ron Steele had a few close calls on his end. And in typical San Jose Sharks fashion, Blew By U managed a last minute tally to steal the win as #26 beat Caveman on the far post.
