I'm a geddon to the next round

Oakland, CA -- In what could only be considered a minor upset, the Puck'n A slipped past Armageddon to advance to the final-4. This is the team's first win over the Armageddon squad and brings the series to (2-1-0) in their three meetings over the last two seasons.

Armageddon took an early lead when #91 knocked one past netminder Ron Steele, but the Puck'n A came back strong when Mark Vis and Troy Gehring combined for a score just minutes later.

Bob Cushman opened the second stanza's scoring by blasting in a pass from Scott Gehring. Armageddon followed that score up ten minutes later to knot the game at two goals apiece; however, Troy Gehring scored one of his own 39 seconds later to recapture the lead for his team.

Scott Gehring answered the final period's bell by netting two unassisted goals and sealing an opportunity for the team to advance. Scott finished the evening with 3 points (2G, 1A) and his brother Troy threw in a pair of points for good measure (1G, 1A) making a Gehring part of each goal scored this evening.

The Puck'n A will play Blew By U for the opportunity to play in Saturday, January 20th's Championship game. The winner of that game would play the winner of Oaktown versus Pro Team Sports.
