Foiled by Team Acme

Oakland, CA -- Team Acme picked up where they left off in the playoffs by defeating the Puck'n A in a hard fought 3-2 battle. The loss marks the first time the Puck'n A lost a season opener.

The scoring opened early when Bob Cushman took a quick pass from Mitch Wright just 14-seconds into the game. The lead, however, wouldn't last too long. At 12:09 Team Acme scored, and then again two minutes later, putting the Puck'n A down by one.

Opening the second period, again the Puck'n A notched the quick score. Scott Gehring and Chris McGrew teamed up to net the goal just 30-seconds into the period. But again, Team Acme held on for a while and regained the lead at 10:53. This was the inevitable game winner.
